About Laken Life House

Since moving to the area in 2002, we have spent countless days out on Lake Anna enjoying everything the area has to offer. Our dream was to get a house on the waterfront so we could turn our day trips into overnight experiences. After years of saving, we purchased this house in 2020.

Laken Life House is our home away from home, and we are thrilled to share it with you. We also love our Laken Woods Community and our neighbors, some of whom live here year-round and others who are weekend warriors. Everyone is super friendly, and the neighborhood is a great place to ride bikes and allow the kids to explore. Quiet hours are from 10PM to 7AM.

Laken Life House is 3,661 square feet on 2 acres with over 100 ft of waterfront shoreline. The house has three floors, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and garage with both a Tesla charger and NEMA 14-50 outlet to charge your EV vehicles.

On the second floor is the master suite with a king size bed, private balcony with sitting area, walk-in closet and private bath with a jacuzzi soaking tub and shower. This floor also has a shared bathroom with a shower, a guest bedroom with a queen size bed and reading nook, and a room that we affectionately refer to as the bunk room. The bunk room features a pair of triple twin-size bunk beds. Each bunk has its own light for private reading prior to turning in for the evening.

On the first floor, there are multiple areas for guests to sit and relax while others cook, play or even do some laundry with the provided washer and dryer on this level. Enjoy the sunroom, which has a queen-size sleeper sofa, watch TV on the 50-inch 4K tv in the living room, or enjoy a meal together in the dining room that seats 12. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to whip up a delicious meal and has easy access to the gas grill on the back deck if you want to do some outdoor cooking. When you’re done for the evening, light a fire in the wood-burning fireplace in the family room or play some table tennis in the garage. The first floor also has the second master suite with a queen size bed and private bath with a shower-tub.

The basement is dedicated to indoor fun with everything you’ll need to keep going when the sun goes down or on those days when mother nature keeps you inside. There is a full-size pool table, electronic dart board, Pop-A-Shot, five retro gaming consoles, karaoke machine and numerous board games and cards to challenge your skills and those of your other guests. When you want to settle down, turn on the gas fireplace, pop some popcorn in the popcorn machine and watch a Netflix movie on the 50-inch 4K tv.

Saving the best for last, the outdoor facilities at Laken Life House are designed to keep you busy from sun up to well after the sun down. Enjoy fishing, swimming, sunbathing or boating from the two docks and 100ft of waterfront. Make sure to put to use the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards that we also provide for your use (life jackets for adults and children are available). When you’re ready to take a break from the water, try your hand at teether ball or get everyone into the Gaga Ball Pit for an epic game to see who is the last person standing. For those that are looking for a slower pace, you can relax on the back deck or take a stroll on the nature trail. When the sun goes down, build a fire either lakeside in the fire pit or go rustic with a fire in the campfire area and cook up some s’mores, or take a long-soak and look up at the stars in the Hot Springs Pulse 7-person hot tub.

We look forward to your stay.
